The Jefferson County Family YMCA is now located at Mountain View
Commons in Port Townsend. Our office is located on the lower level,
next to the cafeteria.
Our new facility includes classrooms, meeting rooms, cafeteria,
kitchen, gym and playground / sports field.
Programs & Activities
The YMCA offers programs and activities for all ages. Additional
programs are offered through partnerships with other groups
and organizations. Rental space is available for individuals or
groups for private or public activities and programs.

Mural Painting
Express yourself
and leave a lasting work of art at the new YMCA facility.Six week class meets on Thursdays, starting January 28th

Learn basic yoga to develop core strength, flexibility,
balance and breathe awareness. Four week

Felted Jewelry
Make marvelous jewelry made from colored Merino wool.
One day class on Monday,

The Gift of Color
We will talk about color theory from the rule books, and
then see how we can make color work for us.

Knitting
Students will learn about the basic knit and purl stitch,
with various fibers and colors.Four week class meets on Tuesdays, starting February 2nd

Two days to learn the
ancient art of Raku firing.Two week class meets on Tuesdays, starting February 2nd

Pilates
This level introduces the student to their intrinsic ability
to change their body, find their own wellbeing, and gain
strength.On-going

Pilates
Expand on the fundamentals and gradually learn the 34 basic
exercises which Joseph Pilates created.On-going classes meet on Mondays and Fridays from

Cartooning
Workshop
This class will teach you how to draw different cartoons and
expressions. You will start by drawing simple shapes and
will progress to creating complete characters of your own
choice and design.
Six week class meets on Saturdays starting on February 6th
from 10:00am-11:30am in the YMCA Mt. View art room. All ages
welcome.

Decorating
Learn to decorate a cake that looks as good as it tastes,
and you’ll eat it too!One day class will meet on Thursday, February 11th
from 2:30pm-4:00pm in the YMCA Mt. View art room.

Dance
Lyrical Dance Expressions begins! Students learn basic dance
skills & techniques and use them to creatively self-express
concepts in lyrics, poetry and music with their dance
movements. Stretching and toning exercises, with playful
games and activities.Eight week class meets on Thursdays starting on
February 18th from 2:45pm-4:15pm in the YMCA Mt.
View gym.

Elevated
Ice Cream
Tour
Join owners David and Julie McCulloch while they prepare your
favorite flavors and you do the taste testing.One day tour will take place on Friday, February 19th
and the YMCA van will transport students from the Blue Heron
parking lot at 3:15pm to Elevated Ice Cream.Parents will pick them up at 4:00pm.

Introduction to
Self-Defense
Learn basic self defense strategies,
including physical defense, trusting your instincts, and
safety techniques. Wear comfortable clothing.Four week class meets on Mondays starting on February
15th from 3:30pm–4:30pm in the YMCA Mt. View Gym.

The YMCA has meeting rooms, classrooms, a gym and other spaces
available for one-time, short-term & long-term rental for your
private or public group or activity.
The YMCA offers licensed childcare for children
5-12 years of age at Mountain View Commons.
After-school childcare is available when school
is in session and childcare camps are available during the Winter,
Spring & Summer breaks. DSHS payments are accepted for qualified
families.
