The Jefferson County Family YMCA depends on the financial support of the community.    Your donations fund a variety of programs and services in Jefferson County. Fundraising events scheduled    for 2008 include our Annual Campaign, which starts in March, YMCA Bingo, a raffle, and a golf tournament. Sponsors and volunteers are needed for these events. If you are able to make a donation, sponsor an event or volunteer your time, please contact  Bill Kush, YMCA Executive Director, at 385-5811.  

The  2009 campaign goal was $11,000

YMCA Expedition Club

The Expedition Club and Thai student trek beyond the rice fields to the waterfall in Thailand

“A Place not Like Any Other”

Expedition Club Instructor: Robbie Roberts

Robbie Roberts founded the YMCA Expedition Club, which exposes Jefferson County youth to the outside world through the “Urban Plunge”, where groups of students spend three days with the homeless on the streets and in the homeless shelters of Seattle. He also initiated the Pha Pang, Thailand Global Community Program that has taken 80 students in the last four years to teach English and exchange culture with villagers in Northern Thailand. 

This program is offered in partnership with the Jefferson County Family YMCA
