techniques. Holly Green will

Grant Street After School
Program
– The YMCA provides a fun-filled
after school program each day
from the end of the school day
until 6:00 pm. Enrollment is
flexible ranging from daily
participation to an occasional
drop in.
Chimacum After School Program
– Meets at the Chimacum Primary School gym and provides a fun-filled
after school program each day
from the end of the school day
until 6:00 pm. Enrollment is
flexible ranging from daily
participation to an occasional
drop in.

Wonders expansion
pre-constructed decks. Deck
building strategies and deck
clinic will be a part of this
class. Steve Goldenbogen will
instruct this 4-week class in
the Mt. View cafeteria on
Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm,
starting January 15. This class
is limited to 12 so sign up
early. PRE-REGISTRATION IS
REQUIRED BEFORE JANUARY 15.

World in Bremerton using
state-of-the-art equipment and
the safest techniques. Join us
on Tuesday, March 11, leaving
the Mt. View parking lot at 3:30
and returning to Blue Heron by
7:00.
(Participants will call home
when the van reaches the Hood
Canal Bridge so parents can
anticipate exact time of
arrival.)
Fee: $30.00 (incl.
admission, and equipment rental)
Swimming
– Come swim at the Mt. View pool
from 1:30-3:30 pm on Early
Release Wednesdays January 30
and March 5. Parents will be
responsible for providing
transportation after the class.
Fee: $5.00 per swim

White Photography
- Learn camera & darkroom
techniques to shoot & develop
your own black and white
photos. Instructor Jen Cronin
will teach this 6-week class on
Tuesdays from 2:30-4:00 pm,
beginning January 15. Fee:

Yoga for all Levels (Ages 12-80)
– Learn a basic yoga routine to
develop core strength,
flexibility, balance and breath
awareness. Instructor Colleen
Swantner will teach this 4-week
class on Mondays from 4:00-5:00
pm at the Yoga Shala, 303 47th
Street, Port Townsend starting
February 25. Transportation is
not provided. Fee: $40.00

Other Tricks
- Learn the art of juggling and
show games with local juggler
and acrobat Coffee Joe. This

Elevated Ice Cream
- Discover the secrets of
Elevated Ice Cream on March 4
from 2:30-3:30 pm. Meet the
YMCA van at the Blue Heron
flagpole to ride downtown.
Parents will be responsible for
providing transportation after
the class. Fee: $5.00
American Red Cross Babysitter’s
Training in Port Townsend – Learn how to make good, responsible decisions, handle
emergencies, perform basic care
routines, and get tips on
finding babysitting jobs.
Instructor Sandy Short will
conduct this 3-day course on
January 22, 23, 24 from 2:15 –
4:15, at Blue Heron Middle
School. Fee: $35.00
American Red Cross Babysitter’s
Training in Chimacum
– Learn how to make good,
responsible decisions, handle
emergencies, perform basic care
routines, and get tips on
finding babysitting jobs.
Instructor Sandy Short will
conduct this 3-day course on
January 15, 16, 17 from 2:15 –
4:15, at Chimacum Primary
School. Fee: $35.00
Port Townsend Swim Team
“Barracudas” –
Improve your strokes with expert
instruction and coaching in a
fun atmosphere! Compete in area
swim meets when ready. The
season runs from September
through July. PTST is a youth
club open to swimmers of all
ages who have completed Level 4
lessons or can do freestyle and
backstroke. Contact Susie at
385-9743 or stop by the Mt. View
pool to watch groups practice on
Mon-Fri from 2:30-5:15 pm.
Twisters Gymnastics
–
Recreational gymnastics classes,
as well as cheerleading,
tumbling and tumbling/dance
classes are being offered for
boys and girls of all ages and
abilities. The Gym is also
available for birthday parties.
